Our gourmet hotel in Merano

The half board at our gourmet hotel Glanzhof offers you from morning to evening meals of the traditional South Tyrolean cuisine and typical Mediterranean dishes.

You start the day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet in the morning, with tasty quality products of South Tyrol: freshly prepared egg dishes, various local breads, assorted meats and cheeses, fresh seasonal fruit, dried fruit and cereal, delicious pastries, healthy yogurt, served with coffee, tea, milk and fruit juices.

You can also have lunch à-la-carte or choose one of the dishes on our little lunch menu.

In the afternoon you can enjoy a delicious cake buffet, with freshly baked pastries, typical of the South Tyrolean cuisine such as apple strudel and tasty cakes with local fruits or chocolate.

In the evening you will enjoy a varied four-course meal with menu choice, with salad and vegetable buffet and different dressings, appetizer, warm starter, main course and dessert. In each course you can always choose a vegetarian dish.

Every now and then we organize special themed evenings such as Tyrolean Evening, romantic gala candlelight dinner, the Italian Evenings and different buffets, where you can enjoy all kinds of antipasti, starters and desserts in the form of appetizers.

For younger guests, the kitchen staff prepares a special children’s menu.

From morning to evening our hotel chef and his team prepare tasty typical South Tyrolean dishes and Mediterranean delicacies as part of the gourmet half board for real culinary delights during your gourmet holiday in South Tyrol.

With much passion our kitchen team surprises his guests every day with his culinary creations, prepared from fresh and mostly local ingredients.

So the whole year long you will find typical ingredients for South Tyrol on the plates: asparagus and fresh wild herbs in spring, berries and colourful vegetables in the summer months, mushrooms and pumpkin in the fall. Because seasonal cuisine is not only varied, but also really healthy!


The rich selection of our prestigious wines ranges from the own brand of the Glanzhof and excellent South Tyrolean wines to great Italian wines of the best wine cellars of the country.

In the evening you can enjoy our delicious dinner as well as good wine, but also spend the evening at the hotel bar, have a chat with friends while tasting an exquisite wine of South Tyrol.

Every evening you will find our wine recommendation on the menu, which helps you choosing the right red or white wine to go with your gourmet dinner.

Thanks to the mild climate there are growing many fruit and vegetables, from the many grapes are produced fine wines, typical products such as South Tyrolean speck and apples as well as many aromatic herbs are used in many South Tyrolean dishes. And more and more the South Tyrolean cuisine is influenced by Mediterranean cuisine.
