The half board at our gourmet hotel Glanzhof offers you from morning to evening meals of the traditional South Tyrolean cuisine and typical Mediterranean dishes.
You start the day with a sumptuous breakfast buffet in the morning, with tasty quality products of South Tyrol: freshly prepared egg dishes, various local breads, assorted meats and cheeses, fresh seasonal fruit, dried fruit and cereal, delicious pastries, healthy yogurt, served with coffee, tea, milk and fruit juices.
You can also have lunch à-la-carte or choose one of the dishes on our little lunch menu.
In the afternoon you can enjoy a delicious cake buffet, with freshly baked pastries, typical of the South Tyrolean cuisine such as apple strudel and tasty cakes with local fruits or chocolate.
In the evening you will enjoy a varied four-course meal with menu choice, with salad and vegetable buffet and different dressings, appetizer, warm starter, main course and dessert. In each course you can always choose a vegetarian dish.
Every now and then we organize special themed evenings such as Tyrolean Evening, romantic gala candlelight dinner, the Italian Evenings and different buffets, where you can enjoy all kinds of antipasti, starters and desserts in the form of appetizers.
For younger guests, the kitchen staff prepares a special children’s menu.
South Tyrolean cuisine
In South Tyrol so many quality products are produced that typical South Tyrolean dishes can be served throughout the year: in every season meals can be prepared with fresh ingredients.
Throughout the whole day you can enjoy South Tyrolean cuisine: already for breakfast you can find different types of bread, fresh milk and milk products, such as outstanding yogurt and cheese. Thanks to the mild climate there are growing many fruit and vegetables, from the many grapes are produced fine wines, typical products such as South Tyrolean speck and apples as well as many aromatic herbs are used in many South Tyrolean dishes. And more and more the South Tyrolean cuisine is influenced by Mediterranean cuisine.
The Mediterranean cuisine is considered very healthy and is very popular nowadays. Mozzarella cheese, fresh fish, different vegetables and fruit, olive oil, fragrant herbs: many typical Mediterranean products can be combined with South Tyrolean quality products. These excellent ingredients refine the South Tyrolean cuisine and give South Tyrolean dishes their lightness.
Expression of this perfect blend of South Tyrolean cuisine and Mediterranean cuisine are especially the many delicious pasta dishes, which are essential as a first course on every menu in South Tyrol.
